Preparation

Application

Concrete surfaces shall be primed with a coat of ADVAPRIME, applied by squeegee and/or roller at a nominal rate of 3.5 m2/kg.

ADVASCREED is applied into the tacky primer at a rate of 2.5 m2/unit at a nominal 5 mm thickness. This can be hand trowelled or power floated. ADVACREED is supplied in 25 kg units. ADVASCREED shall be left to cure for a minimum of 12 hours at normal room temperatures.

ADVAPRIME is applied by notched squeegee and backrolled at a nominal rate of 2 m2/kg. Ensure that the surface is evenly coated and that there are no areas where the coating has completely soaked into the substrate. Re-apply if necessary.

Whilst wet, slowly begin to broadcast with Quartz Aggregate size 0.4 - 0.8 mm at a nominal rate of 4 kg/m2. Allow aggregate to become saturated before proceeding to broadcast to excess. Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours.

Once cured, sweep of the excess quartz aggregate and vacuum the area thoroughly.

Apply one coat of ADVACOAT CLEAR with a flat squeegee at a rate of 2 kg/m2 and back-roll to achieve a uniform finish.

Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours for light traffic and 24 hours for heavy traffic

Coving

Primed area with a coat of ADVATACKPRIME, applied by roller at a nominal rate of 3.5 m2/kg.

In to tacky primer, apply ADVAQUARTZ COVE PACK at a rate of 11 linear metres per 22.82 kg unit (this gives a cove 4 mm thick, 200 mm high x 50 mm base). Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours.

Apply a coat of ADVAGROUT by squeegee at rate of 3m2/kg ensuring that all voids are filled. Backroll with a short nap roller to achieve a uniform finish. Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours.

Apply a coat of ADVACOAT CLEAR at a rate of 3.5 m2/kg using a short nap roller ensuring an even finish. Allow to cure for a minimum of 12 hours.
