This week, Advanced Hygienic, producers of BioClad hygienic wall cladding, was delighted to secure the services of Norman Slater, a key member of the Science City York (SCY) Business Mentor Team. Norman has a career that includes several director-level and senior management roles across a broad spectrum of key industry sectors both in the UK and America.
In addition to significant consultancy experience working with several blue chip multinationals, Norman has worked closely with several key public sector partners such as the White Rose University Consortium and the former Department for Trade and Industry (DTI).
Most recently he has successfully focused on providing consultancy services to small-medium enterprises. Extensive project management experiences include managing major DTI biotechnological initiatives providing consultancy to over 400 SMEs in many sectors throughout the UK.
We now look on in anticipation as Norman turns his experience of modern science based technology to our antimicrobial hygienic wall cladding ‘BioClad’ with the aim of helping us to create greater efficiencies in the business and accelerating brand development and growth both domestically and internationally.
Launched earlier this year, the SCY Business Mentor service offers intensive coaching and mentoring for key business personnel within knowledge-based SMEs to help clients overcome critical barriers to growth. The service follows Science City York’s successful application to secure £1.3M investment from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme in Yorkshire and Humber.
