Green Dot Test

BioClad offers a lifetime guarantee on our antimicrobial PVC hygienic wall cladding and all other products in our antimicrobial product range. Using the BioPen, which shines a laser onto the cladding surface, we can prove where antimicrobial protection is present.

As Sylvester explains above, BioCote is impregnated into our hygienic wall cladding panels during the point of manufacture and is proven to kill microbes by 99.9%. It is effective against superbugs such as E.coli, MRSA and influenza. To the human eye, this antimicrobial additive is invisible, and cannot be differentiated from a standard PVC sheet. BioClad has created this authenticity and longevity test to provide a hallmark of quality to our customers

Antimicrobial protection (BioCote) is the presence of silver-ion technology which kills bacteria by 99.9%. Under the BioPen a green dot will appear which demonstrates the presences of BioCote. No green dot will demonstrate the absence of antimicrobial BioCote protection – a standard PVC sheet.

This BioPen test can be used during the time of installation – and at any time during the life of the product to prove the authenticity and longevity of the antimicrobial protection in our hygienic wall cladding.
